How to Automate a $8K/Month Faceless YouTube Channel with Claude

Most people think YouTube pays pennies. They are wrong. Here is what YouTube actually pays per 1,000 views depending on the niche:

Finance and Investing: $15 to $50 Technology and AI: $12 to $30 Health and Wellness: $10 to $25 True Crime and Stories: $5 to $15 General Entertainment: $3 to $8

A faceless finance channel with 500,000 views a month at $20 RPM makes $10,000 a month from AdSense alone. Add sponsorships, affiliate links, and a digital product and that number doubles.

Views are the engine. The niche is the fuel. Pick the wrong niche and no amount of views will pay your bills.

STEP 1: PICK YOUR NICHE WITH DATA, NOT FEELINGS

The classic mistake is picking a niche you like. The right way is to pick based on RPM, competition gap, and content repeatability. Claude runs this analysis in 60 seconds.

The prompt:

"Act as a YouTube channel strategist. I want to start a faceless YouTube channel. Analyze these 5 niches for me: [list your 5 niches]. For each, give me: 1. Estimated RPM range. 2. Competition level (low / medium / high). 3. Content repeatability score (1-10). 4. Audience size potential. 5. Monetization options beyond AdSense. 6. One untapped content angle nobody is doing. Final recommendation: which niche to start with and why."

Run this once. You get a data-driven decision instead of guessing for weeks. This replaces a niche research consultant at $300 to $500 per session.

STEP 2: BUILD THE SCRIPT MACHINE

The script is everything. A bad script with good visuals fails. A great script with average visuals wins. Claude writes scripts faster than any human but the prompt has to be built right.

The prompt:

"You are a senior YouTube scriptwriter for faceless educational channels. Write a full script for this video. Topic: [topic]. Target audience: [audience]. Video length: [5 / 8 / 12 minutes]. Tone: [educational / storytelling / list-based]. Channel niche: [niche]. Script requirements: Hook in the first 30 seconds that creates a pattern interrupt. No intro like 'Hey guys welcome back.' Use the open loop technique and tease the payoff early. Write in spoken English, not essay English. Include [PAUSE] markers for natural delivery. Include [VISUAL: description] tags for every scene so I know what footage to use. End with a soft CTA that does not sound like begging. Output: Full word-for-word script. Estimated runtime. 5 thumbnail concept ideas. 3 title variations, one curiosity-based, one SEO-focused, one emotional."

One prompt gives you a full production-ready script, thumbnail ideas, and title options. This replaces a professional scriptwriter at $150 to $400 per video.

STEP 3: RUN THE PRODUCTION PIPELINE

This is the actual system from idea to uploaded video. Not theory. The exact steps in order.

  1. Come up with a topic idea based on what is trending in your niche.
  2. Give Claude the topic. It researches and builds an outline.
  3. Run the script prompt from Step 2. Claude writes the full script with visual tags.
  4. Copy the script into ElevenLabs. Generate the voiceover. Pick a voice that is not the default free one because every other AI channel uses those and your audience will recognize it instantly.
  5. Open CapCut or Canva. Drop in the voiceover. Add stock footage from Pexels or Pixabay matching the [VISUAL] tags Claude wrote into the script. Assemble the video.
  6. Run the metadata prompt from Step 4 below. Claude writes the title, description, tags, and chapters.
  7. Check your title and tags in VidIQ or TubeBuddy to make sure the keywords have search volume.
  8. Upload to YouTube.

Total time per video once the system is running: 45 to 90 minutes. The bottleneck is video assembly. That is the one step AI does not fully automate yet. Everything else is Claude.

STEP 4: WRITE METADATA THAT ACTUALLY GETS VIEWS

A great video with bad metadata gets buried. This happened to me. I had a video with 800 views that should have had 80,000. The script was great. The voiceover was clean. The thumbnail was decent. The title was terrible. Now Claude handles all metadata in one shot.

The prompt:

"Act as a YouTube SEO specialist. Write complete metadata for this video. Topic: [topic]. Niche: [niche]. Script summary: [2-3 sentence summary of what the video covers]. Output: 1. Title under 60 characters that includes the main keyword and triggers curiosity. 2. Description of 200 words that is SEO-optimized, includes timestamps, a CTA, and 3 relevant links. 3. 15 tags that are a mix of broad and specific keywords. 4. 5 chapter titles with suggested timestamps. 5. 3 pinned comment options to boost engagement. Optimize everything for click-through rate and watch time."

This alone is worth $50 per video if you were paying someone else to do it. Run it for every video. Never upload without optimized metadata again.

STEP 5: SCALE TO $5K TO $10K PER MONTH

Here is what the revenue looks like on a faceless channel at 600,000 views per month:

AdSense at $18 RPM: $10,800 Affiliate links: $2,400 One sponsorship per month: $3,000 Digital product: $1,200 Total: $17,400

The scaling timeline:

Weeks 1 through 4: Post 3 to 4 videos per week. Test 4 different content formats. Do not optimize yet. Just output. Volume is what the algorithm needs to learn what your channel is about.

Month 2 to 3: Identify your top 20% performing videos. Double down on that format. Cut everything else. The data tells you what to make. Stop guessing.

Month 4 and beyond: Add one monetization layer per month. Affiliate links first because they require no audience minimum. Then sponsorships once you have consistent views. Then a digital product once you have an email list or community.

When you have enough data, use this prompt:

"Act as a YouTube growth strategist. My channel is in [niche]. My 3 best-performing videos are: [list them with view counts]. Analyze what they have in common and give me: 1. The content pattern I should repeat. 2. 10 new video ideas following that exact pattern. 3. The next monetization layer I should add based on my current audience size. 4. One collaboration or SEO strategy to accelerate growth."

This prompt replaces the strategy calls that YouTube consultants charge $200 to $500 for. Run it monthly and let the data guide every decision.

THE 7 MISTAKES TO AVOID

Choosing a niche with low RPM. Views do not pay if the RPM is $2. A finance channel with 100K views makes more than an entertainment channel with 500K views.

Skipping the hook. If the first 30 seconds do not grip, the algorithm buries you. Every script must open with a pattern interrupt, not a greeting.

Posting 5 videos and waiting. The algorithm needs 20 to 30 videos before it starts pushing your content. Most people quit at video 8. The channel usually starts moving at video 24.

Copy-pasting from competitors. YouTube detects duplicate content structures. Use competitors for inspiration, not templates. Claude generates original scripts every time.

Using free ElevenLabs voices everyone uses. If your channel sounds like every other AI channel, viewers scroll past. Pay for a unique voice or clone your own.

Ignoring analytics. YouTube Studio tells you exactly what to make next. Watch time, click-through rate, and audience retention graphs are your roadmap. Check them weekly.

Building too slow. Consistency matters more than perfection in the first 90 days. A good video published today beats a perfect video published next month.

THE TIMELINE

Month 1: $0 to $100. Learning the system. Finding your format. Posting consistently. Month 2 to 3: $200 to $800. The algorithm starts picking up your best videos. Month 4 to 6: $1,000 to $3,000. Monetization unlocked. Scaling the content that works. Month 6 to 12: $3,000 to $10,000. Sponsorships plus affiliates plus AdSense compounding. Year 2 and beyond: $10,000 to $30,000. Brand deals, digital products, second channel.

The people making $8,000 a month from faceless YouTube channels are not more creative than you. They just built a system and ran it consistently for 4 to 6 months. The system is in this guide. The prompts are above. The only variable left is whether you start.

You just read the full playbook. Most people will close this tab and never implement it. The ones who do usually hit a wall around the technical setup and quit.
